Stephen 26th December 2021

My darling Julie, You would have so enjoyed Christmas this year with our lovely new granddaughter Erin Julie, who was born on 21st Nov. We all miss you so much, and it has been very hard not having you with us again this year. The grandchildren are growing up so fast and you would be so proud of them. Karen, Kieran, Ava, Erin and Luna have spent Christmas day with me, and are staying the night. James and Abbi came with Lily, Archer and Ivy, and later Abbi and the kids left to have dinner at Len and Pete’s whilst James had dinner with us as usual. I made the stuffing and prepared the veg, and Kieran did all the cooking again this year. It was a lovely dinner, but he still can’t make turkey gravy as good as you. After dinner we relaxed a bit, there wasn’t much on TV and we played a new card game called Exploding Kittens which was fun. Ava won both games of course, she is such a sharp cookie and very competitive. I remember you spent hours playing board games with her. Laura, Kevin and Heath aren’t coming over until 30th Dec and will stay for the New Year before I go back to work on 4th Jan. Laura is taking it easy this Christmas after a busy year before having the baby in March. I hope I can finish my job by then although l don’t know how l am going to spent my retirement without you. I can’t believe we are still suffering Covid restrictions almost 2 years since you left us. The world is much different now, and it is having an enormous effect on people’s wellbeing. I almost understand why you decided to go to a better place and I look forward to joining you there one day. With all my love, Stephen ❤️
