I cant believe I'm writing this and I really wish I wasn't. I met Julie in 1986 when her daughter Laura and my daughter Jo became best friends at playschool. Julie was one of the kindest most thoughtful people I've ever met. A good example of this was a few years ago when my Mum had a fall. We waited ages for an ambulance and ended up in A and E at LGI late on Saturday evening. Julie had got to know via our daughters texting each other. She texted me to see how things were going, then at nearly midnight she appeared at my side with sandwiches and drinks. Her lovely husband Stephen had driven her down there. Similarly, when my Mum died last year, Julie was at my house as soon as she found out. She was the first person to give me a much needed hug that day. Julie was so proud of all her family. They are a lovely family and Julie was the bright star at the centre. She loved being with them. My heart goes out to them all. Julie, you were the best friend anyone could ever have. I'll miss our lunches at the Whitehouse. I'll even miss being woken at the crack of dawn by a text on my birthday and at Christmas because you were always up and about ages before anyone else. But most of all I'll just miss you. My dearest friend, I'll never forget you. You'll always have a place in my heart. Love LIz xx
