My Julie and I first met Julie Baker when we bought our house off her and her amazing husband Steve. For 29 years we lived down the street from her. During those years she applied her policy of practical kindness, always smiling never letting us down. When we went away our cats knew that they weren't going to go hungry! Latterly we begun to get to know her a little bit better. Her kindness still radiated but her cheeky sense of humour and her absolute devotion to her family shone through. Julie loved people and I can easily say that we loved her too. Her sudden disastrous ending has shocked us both to the core. There are lessons to be learnt from both her life and death and I'm determined to learn them. The biggest of them is simple human kindness, Julie was the Queen of Kindness. For those she has left behind, particularly her wonderful husband Steve and the rest of her close family, this is a time of pain, grief and confusion. They will emerge from the hell of their loss. It is our duty to the memory of beautiful Julie Baker to stand with them and help as best as we can. Colin Lewisohn and Julie Blanchard xxx
